Chakloon NIC

The registry of @handles for the whole network.

What it is

Chakloon NIC is where @handles live. Every app on this page asks the registry before it gives anyone a name, so a handle belongs to one person across all of them.

Check whether a name is free, claim it, and it is yours on the social network, in Chat and everywhere else.

What you can do

  • Check whether a handle is free, live as you type
  • One @handle across every app
  • Handles of 7 to 30 characters: Latin letters, digits, dot, underscore and hyphen
  • Pages of brands and projects hold their handles here too

All apps

One Passport opens all of them.

  • One sign-in. The account you already have opens every app. No new registrations.
  • One @handle. Your name from the NIC registry is yours across the network.
  • One profile. Change your photo or language once, and every app follows.
  • Your choice. Leaving one app keeps your Passport and the rest untouched.
